Sitting around, watching some recent episodes of UK Skins S5. It's good, it's always good- but it's no S3/4. I miss Freddie, for obvious reasons (see below).
Any Americans reading this who have only watched the USA Skins and think it's shit (you are correct) you should definitely give UK Skins a try.

Skins is one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows, but i haven't seen the uk version. I'll have to check that out!

I decided to watch the first episode of the US series just out of curiosity. WOW. Soooo budget. I don't understand why they changed some names and kept others. And why Michelle looks IDENTICAL but they totally changed some characters. Also, they have a lesbian instead of Maxxie? WHAT THE EFF. Either completely replicate it, or do something totally different. This half-way "originality" is just making me mad.
I miss all the UK seasons. Especially 3/4 because I just remember it always being SO intense. Gah. I should do rewatch those ones. Not quite as into S5 yet, but it's better than the Yankee watered-down bs.

I live in the UK and we deffinetely prefer 3/4 and even 1/2 over 5 buts 5 is still better than Us Skins lol... Freddy is soooo hot :p
