Wallace, water and works of art

Wallace has a bit to learn when it comes to drinking from his water bowl. First of all, fresh clean water in a freshly scrubbed bowl is not his beverage of choice. He would far prefer to scale the rocky terrain of my art trolley, of bottles and tubes and brushes and canvases; in pursuit of the jar of water I rinsed my paintbrushes in. Once he actually gets to his waterhole of preference, he has a little trouble judging the distance from his face to the surface of the water... his entire nose seems to get dunked in every time. This doesn't bother him too much though; he finds an ideal towel in the form of my chin, nose and cheeks. Sloppy kitty kisses galore.

Also, I'm sharing for the first time an image of the drawing I've been working on (a few hours here and there) for the past few months. It's getting closer to being finished but I keep thinking of new textures to add in so it could be a while yet... It's on massive A1 size paper which extends beyond the perimeters of this photograph. Ongoing project for sure.

Silly cat! He is so beautiful! I love cats that have little quirks that make them super special.
