I was searching for HDR New York computer wallpapers yesterday, as you do, and came across Barry Mangham's photography blog. I love his images, and am so jealous of the many, many places he's been.

Life's been pretty hectic for the last month or so, and it's a shame that when everything's happening, there's no time to write about it!

It's been a while since I linked artwork on this blog, but today I have something that is definitely worth sharing. Found via the fantastic Mighty Optical Illusions blog are these hyper realistic paintings by David Kassan. A shame he was only credited in the comments by such a popular site. Sometimes I get bored with hyper-realistic art- I'm always dumbfounded by the skill, but when technical skill is the extent of their talent, I can get a little blasé. However, it's definitely not the case with these- probably thanks to the beautiful backgrounds he creates. Go check out his website when you have a moment.

Keira Knightley

Keira is such a doll. She's getting a bit of stick for this skirt though. Unlike a lot of opinions I've read, I don't mind the cut of the hem at all, though I think the waistband looks awful in higher resolution photos.

But her face and hair are so pretty, and I want to be her. It's nice to see her looking a more human size these days... there are some celebrities I can accept looking good at size zero ( if ignoring thoughts about their health), but Keira was not one of them.

Bambi Northwood-Blyth
