I saw the most terrible, terrible tights-as-pants faux pas on a Wellington street a couple of weeks ago. I'm fairly sure she would have dressed in the chilly and overcast morning, but unfortunately when I saw her in the mid-afternoon, the sun was out in force, and so was the visibility of her underpants through not-so-opaque black tights. I was so embarrassed for her, but according to Twitter I was right not to say anything as it was probably intentional. Really? Really?
If you're going to do tights-as-pants, do it right and buy tights at pants prices. Oh, I would if I could.

Leggings and tights are not trousers. This is also a UK problem. I am trying to spread the word but to no avail. I think I need some kind of campaign.
I agree with Lauren - if you are going to wear leggings without a skirt at least make sure that your shirt covers your behind - I don't need to see your underwear (or lack of.....) I nearly wore a skirt on Saturday but then could decide whether it would then get warmer as the day went on.
Jeggings are another thing that need to be dealt with
