11 Things

To the best of my knowledge I haven't been tagged for the 11 facts meme that's currently recirculating, but I'm jumping on the bandwagon regardless, and stealing a combination of questions from three of my favourite bloggers who completed the task this week - Caitlin, Danielle and Jess.

And because I'm making my own rules, I'm not tagging specific people, but rather anyone who's reading this and hasn't been tagged by anyone else - feel free to answer the same compilation of questions I have. Go on, add another post to your archives.

Love me an awkward-lean elevator photo.

11 Facts About Me
  1. I remembered this the other day when eating a mince pie in the conventional way - when I was a kid we'd sometimes have mince pies with veges for dinner. I had a very specific method of eating them - cut off the pie lid and eat it, eat the mince, fill the pie shell with mashed potato, top with other veges, eat the now vege-filled pie with my hands. I think it probably irritated my parents but hey, it meant I ate my vegetables!
  2. I wouldn't say 'recite' but I can definitely lip sync the entirety of the films Good Burger, Bring It On, and It Takes Two.
  3. I have never broken a bone and am now both terrified of doing so, and curious to see how it compares to AS pain.
  4. My first irl crush is now dead.
  5. A Facebook 'friend' in Australia deliberately spoiled a Home and Away storyline for their New Zealand friends, and I deleted them. I didn't even watch the show that often at the time.
  6. But I do watch it religiously now - on YouTube, as soon as it's uploaded, every day. I also watch Coronation Street on YouTube the day after it airs in the UK.
  7. There's a street in my hometown named after my Dad's side of the family.
  8. I didn't get to write my own yearbook tagline because I was away sick. Which is probably my tagline in itself.
  9. From Twitter I have won: a pair of jeans, coffee, cell phone credit, chocolate, a USB keyring, beer, my domain free for a year, movie tickets, theater tickets, stand-up comedy tickets, and probably more things I have forgotten. I'm boasting, scraping the barrel for ideas, and also telling you that Twitter is a valuable community to join.
  10. I am reasonably fine with gory movies and even real footage of terrible injuries and disfigurements... but don't show me any gross injuries or disfigurements on your body in person. I will probably shriek, even with warning.
  11. I use roll-on deodorant after my shower and then sit/stand on the spot in a bra, flapping my arms like a chicken and refuse to put a top on until it's completely dry.

lol, Jared and I did that with our pies too! Only we didnt eat the mince out then fill it, we would make the tops into mini-pies - Sauce, mince, mashed potato (even mashing the potato on our plates if Dad hadnt done it for us), veges, more sauce, eat - then top up the rest of the pie with the rest of the veges.
Fond memories. I wonder since we do it as well, if its something we caught off our parents? I should ask Dad some time...

haha I love that you know all the words from It Takes Two! I remember seeing that in theatre when I was in Florida. I've never broken a bone, either. I did stand on my middle finger with my skate on when I was younger, though. You could see the bone... ha. I didn't need stitches, though.

Ohhhhh Breaking Bad is sooooo good. I've never watched Coronation Street. Or heard of Michael Fassbender, haha. I will google him. Hmm I've seen Inglorious Basterds but I don't remember who he was,... haha.
