You know how teenage girls go through that phase where they suddenly bleach their dark hair blonde and everyone is shocked and then laughs about it behind their back? Yeah, I never did that. Until I was 22. Oops!
I was in the supermarket this afternoon and could not decide whether to go purple or red. I must have stood there for 20 minutes. Eventually I realised my eyes kept creeping back to the bleach colours so I thought, stuff it, it's only hair, my job doesn't require a particularly high standard of appearance so why not try it while I can?
It's definitely more yellow/brassy than I'd like, but still better than I feared half-way through! And I have some purple toner to use. Almost had a panic attack waiting for Charlie to get home from work. I am sooo dumped. He actually kind of likes it. Or he's very kind and feels sorry for me, which is fine too.
What I do really love is that the blonde goes very nicely with the raspberry beanie (knitted hat... tuque?) I won from Holly Knitlightly via Carly's blog. Squeak!

it looks cute!
We all need a 'buggar it, let's go blonde!' phase :) My hair used to be almost white! Killed it though, haha!
The colour looks great considering you've gone straight from dark! Now you can have fun bright colours!!
I love it! It looks so good on you. If you're anything like me, you'll go through the many different stages of blonde to find one that you'll like. haha
As I said earlier, I really like it; the colour really suites you and you would look great with short hair too :)
I'm also really amazed at how well the colour came out from going dark - blonde, mine always came out kind of orange :/
It really does suit you. And you don't know me so I'm not holding back in one of those polite 'I'm too afraid to tell you the truth ' kind of ways. But from a fellow blondie to another- get that purple toner happening and some leave in treatment, otherwise you will end up with a straw like substance where previously your hair was, :)
i love it! you can always go to the hair dressers and they can tone it for you for about 3$ (or that's how much it is in canada anyway) to even out the colour if you're not feeling the brassiness.
did you also cut it? or is it just tucked under? you look cute!!
oh annnnnd when you're done with the blonde, you can do a super fun colour like pink! or blue!!
wow wow you really do look fabulous! right decision babes

I saw your pic on FB and first thought it was your sister! :) How fun!
Ah not even finishing my sentences. Mean to say, how fun, changing your look and stuff. p.s you have a really good haha look what I've just done! expression.
That was totally brave, but it really worked out! I really like it! :)
Woo! I think it looks amazing!! I've always been scared to dye my hair another colour. Maybe one day I'll gather up the courage & do it. I always wonder what my hair will look like brown. Hmmm.. haha.
So glad you got the hat! & it totally does look great with your new hair! Woo!! :)
