Great Outdoors

Your eyes don't deceive you, that's Wallace outside. I kind of didn't have a choice in the matter anymore- after that time he went missing overnight, he escaped two more times. And of course, once he'd had a taste of the outdoors he wanted to go back. Definitely frustrating for the reasons I outlined in this post- going back to an apartment is going to be really difficult now that he's not indoor-only. At least in our old apartment it was all he knew, and he couldn't escape. But oh well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I've let him out for a couple of hours the past few days, and so far he's content exploring our yard, and comes back inside frequently to check in and reassure me... probably. He's getting microchipped soon, and Charlie bought him a cheap bell collar yesterday until we get him a nice one with a new tag. He'll only be allowed outside when I'm home during the afternoon, so I'm not tooo concerned.

This afternoon he's been a little perturbed by the Red Checkers flying over the city, and drips of rain falling on him.

Oh meow! Outside style!
Our cat is indoor, we can leave the window open and when I see her little paw reach out to step outside, I say nooooo, and she puts it back in. Then I keep a sharp eye out or close the window. Too many cats get stolen or just vanish I don't want mine to be one of them, living in a city is just to risky for cats, plus, I don't have a cat flap!

Do you grow cat grass for your kitty cat? Perhaps he likes the green!

my cat ginny has made a run for it twice. we don't let her go outside though-- there are WAY too many dangers. instead, we supervise outside time on a leash. she mostly rolls around on the balcony and smells the plants.

Yeah I guess we are fortunate here that the only threats to cats are evil humans, stray dogs, and cars. Luckily it's only really the latter that's of concern, and we are quite a distance from the road... still hate it though!

It is hard to let your kids grow up and find their way out in the big wild world....my fur baby would only survive about a minute I think!!
