Horoshima Mon Amour

I found these film stills completely by mistake this week- was Googling for information about nuclear bombings and explosions, and found these in image search. They're from a 1959 film which I've never seen, nor heard of before, called Horoshima Mon Amour. The actress's name is Emmanuelle Riva, and my word don't you just want her hair?!

Hiroshima mon amour is one of best films of all time. supposedly. I studied french cinema at university and tried to watch several times, but it's such an esoteric film. incredibly so. It was a bit of a torture watching it, really. The stills however are beautiful. Check out Umbrellas of Cherbourg. It's an awesome film and the stills and scene decor are amazing.

It's funny you mention her hair, considering what happens to it in the film...

Oh really? As I say, I haven't seen it, maybe I should. Is it gruesome?
